Connect Group: Lunch Bunch
This group is for anyone available during lunch on Tuesdays once a month. Join Dean and Ermalea Pierce at Spear’s Restaurant & Pie Shop (4323 W. Maple). Come and eat together and enjoy some fun times on Feb. 17, March 21, and April 19.

Connect Group: Get Fit, Don’t Quit in 2026
Join us for our monthly 45-minute workout that combines strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance exercises. We will work on our balance, flexibility, and strength. Guided by Kelli and Dixi Coates, this group is for ages 18 and older, and both men and women are welcome. This group will meet monthly on Saturdays, March-October, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

BGMC giving Sunday
Our Goal:
For the year 2026, our church giving goal is $2,600. Help our church reach this goal by giving a special offering to BGMC at the Coffee Bar on Sunday, March 29.
What is BGMC?
BGMC is the only long-standing missions ministry partner in the Assemblies of God that awakens and activates creative compassion in kids within the local church so that the next generation is empowered to pray, give, and go. We are engaging storytellers, givers, local leaders, and directors who challenge kids to embrace sacrificial living for the sake of the gospel. We see every generation personally responsible for the Mission of the Church and strive to instill a missional worldview with the goal of compassionate Missions Champions who discover how God’s heart can be their heart.”

Joy Connection
It’s Fiesta Bunco for Joy Connection. Bring your favorite south-of-the-border potluck dish on March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Please sign up, as a definite number is a must due to the nature of the evening. The deadline to sign up is March 24.
Easter Sunday & Baptism Sunday
We hope you join us on Easter Sunday to celebrate our risen King! Service begins at 10:30am.
We will not have K-5th grade classes. Grade schoolers will attend Easter service with the adults.
Water Baptism
If you are interested in being baptized on Easter Sunday, April 5 during service, please sign up below.
There will be a quick meeting following service on Sunday, March 29 for those who are interested in being baptized. Please plan on meeting in the Chapel.
No Sunday School - April 27
We will not have Sunday School classes on Sunday, April 12.
April 12, we will have a Family Service at 10:30 am (babies, preschool, elementary, youth, and adults will meet in the Sanctuary) for a shortened, fun-filled, family service.
Following the service, we will have a potluck-style lunch followed by an Egg Hunt for all ages.
Family Service
We will be having a Family Service on Sunday, April 12, 10:30 a.m.. Pastor Cheira and Laban will lead the family service. This will be a fun service for the whole family! We will not have any nursery, preschool, or elementary classes.
After service, you are invited to a potluck-style lunch followed by a Egg Hunts for all ages!
We will not have Sunday School classes this Sunday.
Kids Camp
KIDS CAMP WEEK 1
DATE: Sunday, May 31 - Wednesday, June 3, for kids who have completed 2nd grade (in May) to those entering 6th grade.
REGISTER: online with our group (Colonial Heights Church) by March 31 to claim your child’s reservation. Registration closes on May 5th. Any registration after APRIL 14 is an additional $20.
COST: $170 (only $20 is due at the time of registration) through April 14. After April 14 cost is $190

Mrs. Emily or the camp office will be able to tell you what cabins Colonial Heights Church students will be staying in.
TIME: Campers should be dropped off at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, and picked up on Wednesday at 11 a.m at Wheat State Retreat Center.
WHAT TO BRING: Take a look at the Parent/Camper Help Sheet to learn details about medication, food allergies, homesickness, guidelines, and what to bring.
Spring Breakaway
We will join Life Point Church’s youth group for a Spring Breakaway Retreat March 15-17! The cost is $75 (including lodging, food, and other fees during the retreat. This includes a free T-shirt!) If you are concerned about the cost, please let us know so we can help get your students to this event. Don’t let the cost be a reason you do not attend!
This retreat will be an overnight event at Camp Hiawatha in Wichita (1601 West 51st Street North, Wichita KS). The guest speaker is Taylor Johnson.
Please pick up a packet of information from the foyer to know what to bring, expectations, and the schedule of events.
Applications and cost need to be turned in by Wednesday night, February 25, for students to have an event t-shirt as a part of their experience. If you need more time, please let us know as soon as possible.
Connect Group: Game Changers
Jeff and Teri Soyez have some competitive card game nights planned for the Game Changers. They will meet you in the Colonial Room once a month on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. The group meeting days will be February 20, March 13, and April 17.

Connect Group: Biblical Brain
This class, led by Tori Drake, will focus on combining the Bible with mental health coping skills. We will explore how faith-based principles can complement psychological strategies for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. The goal is to help participants build resilience, find emotional healing, and strengthen their spiritual and mental well-being. This group will meet on Saturdays, every two weeks, beginning on February 5, from 12:30-2 p.m. in room 208 at the church.

Jennifer Mason wants you to join her quilting group! If you are a seasoned quilter or a beginner, you are welcome to join this group. They typically meet every other Saturday morning at the church in room 201. Bring your supplies and come ready to share stories! 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Connect Group: Book Club - Mark's Story
Join Teresa Baker in a book study on Matthew’s Story: (The Jesus Chronicles), by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. Matthew’s Story imagines the life of Matthew, a Jewish tax collector rejected by his people, who leaves wealth and status behind after being called by Jesus.
Books are $5.
This group will meet on two Thursdays per month at 6:30 in the Colonial Room, beginning February 5 until April 16.

Hey gals! Gather with Kim Hovey for brunch! 4G will meet at each location from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. We’ll share moments of Gratitude during this time of Grace Gathering to build each other’s faith.

Groups meet on various dates and involve different activities. If you enjoy going out to eat, playing games, or are looking for a new hobby, there is something for you! Deeper connections and fun are headed your way. Be sure you join at least one group.

Family Service
No Sunday School on December 28.
Service is a shortened Family Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. There are no Nursery-6th grade classes. Mrs. Emily has prepared activity packets for your kids to engage with during service time if your child would like one.

Christmas Eve
Join us for a Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service. Service begins at 5 p.m. This is a family service, there will not be childcare.
No Kids Church (K-6th grade)
Kids church (K-6th grade) will not have class on Sunday, December 21, or Sunday, December 28. Both services will be a family service. Mrs. Emily will have packets available for kids to do during church if they would like one!
Advent Morning Prayer
We hope you can join us during the Advent season for Friday morning prayer. We will be meeting in the Chapel of the church at 7 - 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 5, 12, and 19.
Kids Christmas Program
Kids Christmas Program will begin at 10:30am - No Sunday School classes
All K-6th grade should be in the Sanctuary at 10am.
Preschoolers will attend their classes before the program.
Kids Christmas Practice
Program Date: Sunday, December 14 at 10:30 am / Dress Rehearsal Saturday, December 13 at 10 am
Elementary (K-6th grade) will not attend worship with the adults on Sunday, November 30 or December 7. We will utilize that time to practice choir songs for the Christmas Program in our normal classroom.
Kids cast with speaking lines should attend a one-hour practice on Wednesday, December 3 and December 10 at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
We will only have ONE official dress rehearsal; your child must attend on Saturday, December 13 at 10 am.
Dress rehearsal for kids K-6th grade is Saturday, December 13, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Please have your child wear something nice in red, white, or black on Saturday, the 13th and Sunday, the 14th.
Preschoolers will need to attend rehearsal on Saturday, December 13 at 11:45 a.m. and will be done at 12:30 p.m.
Elementary kids need to meet in the Sanctuary on Sunday, December 14 at 10 a.m.
Preschoolers will attend their classes on Sunday morning and our teachers will get them dressed in costume before the program. Please make sure they are wearing clothes the costumes can easily go over.
