FAMILY challenge: TAKE A LEAP

  • Tell the group that a leap is when you take off on one foot, and land somewhere else.

  • Say that we’re going to practice leaping, but we’re going to pretend we’re leaping in imaginary places. Encourage them to imagine and act out what it would be like to take these different kind of leaps:

    • Leap from one soft cloud onto another

    • Leap from a giant cliff into the ocean

    • Leap across a river of hot lava

    • Take the smallest leap possible across a tiny ant

    • Leap onto a very cold iceberg in the ocean

    • Leap onto a super hot giant oven

    • Take a backwards leap

    • Take a sideways leap

  • Can you think of one way you could be brave this week like Peter? (have kids think about the things Peter did that showed his bravery and then encourage kids to think of people they could tell about Jesus)
